Open Innovation – Python Programming

Python is great for web development, data analysis, artificial intelligence, internet of things, robotics and embedded electronics applications. It is widely being used in all areas and is being learnt and applied by not only computer software engineers, but also mathematicians, statisticians, economists, architects, doctors and many more as its applications find more use cases in the future.

The course is designed to help children develop an interest in programming code development, and think logically through developing fun projects.
Across the various Open Innovation Python track takes you from basic introduction to the language, to its applications in Robotics, electronics, and IoT truly opening up the the minds of young learners to the infinite possibilities and providing the power to unlocking their innovative ideas.
Level 1 : Introduction to Python
Introductory Python programming course. Covers the basic concepts and syntax in Python. The sessions covers all essential concepts including introduction to Object Oriented programming.The course teaches Python from the ground up and shows students how they can apply coding concepts to real-world scenarios.
Level 2 : Robotics with Python on Lego Mindstorms
This level provides an excellent and fun way to consolidate the learnings of the Python syntax and apply it to a physical robot system. In addition to enabling you to write code that can do things that cannot be achieved with the standard icon-based EV3 programmings system, another great reason to learn EV3 Python is that EV3 Python is that it uses prebuilt libraries and modules which form the large eco system of Python in its various applications. This course provides a very concrete way to master the OOP concepts in Python through code modularization and application on the Lego Mindstorms EV3 robots.
Level 3: Python with Raspberry Pi
Augments Python coding, and OOP concepts with the Raspberry Pi Open source Electronics platforms to build and program electronics projects. The course introduces basic electronics theory, and function of various electronics components. Learners will work with the Raspberry Pi board and utilize its GPIO along with Python, to develop and prototype various small projects to understand the functioning of micro controllers and programmable electronics.
Level 4: Python IoT Development
Internet of Things with Python and Raspberry Pi, starts you off with IoT project development by combining Python and Raspberry Pi and lays a foundation from which you can develop complex real-world projects. Various cloud technologies, along with Python, and Raspberry Pi basics are amalgamated to create IoT projects that have real life applications.
